Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
We have all broken God’s law and fall short of His perfect standard.
Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Sin earns us death—not just physical death, but eternal separation from God in hell. But there is a gift offered through Jesus Christ.
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – “…Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
Salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection for our sins.
Acts 3:19 – “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…”
Acts 16:30-31 – “…Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Repentance is a change of heart and mind about sin and self, turning to God through Christ alone.
Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:13 – “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Salvation brings a new life in Christ. This isn’t about earning heaven by works, but about a life changed by God’s grace.
